At 11:42 on May 25, 2025, a B767 full-cargo aircraft carrying 50 tons of goods took off from Meilan Airport under Hainan Holdings. After a stopover in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, it arrived in Tel Aviv, the economic hub of Israel. This full journey marked the official launch of the “Haikou-Tbilisi-Tel Aviv” cargo route. The launch of this route further improves and enriches the international air cargo network layout of Hainan Free Trade Port.
In the future, Meilan Airport will aim to become an aviation hub facing the Pacific and Indian Oceans. With a focus on enhancing the efficiency of international logistics channels, it will systematically plan its global cargo route network, striving to build a comprehensive, multi-tiered international air logistics ecosystem. This initiative will inject strong momentum into the foreign trade upgrade of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
