According to Regulations on China Civil Aviation Security Check, the valid identity documents for boarding include:

resident ID card of the People's Republic of China; temporary resident ID card; passport, military officer card; civilian cadre car; con card; non-commissioned officer card; civilian personnel card; employee card; armed police officer card; armed police soldier card and seafarer card for residents in Chinese mainland; the pass of mainland for residents in Hong Kong and Macao and the travel permit for Taiwan residents; passports of foreign passengers; diplomatic certificates issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and permanent residence ID cards of foreigners; other valid flight identity documents permitted by CAAC.

Valid flight identity documents for residents in Chinese mainland under the age of 16 also include birth medical certificate, residence booklet, student ID card or identity certificate issued by the public security organ where the residence is located.

Guns and other weapons, exploding or burning substances and devices, control equipment, dangerous goods, infectious disease pathogens, fire (including all kinds of ignition devices), charging treasure with rated energy exceeding 160Wh, lithium batteries (lithium batteries used in electric wheelchairs have other provisions), alcoholic beverages with alcohol volume percentage greater than 70%, strongly magnetized substances, articles with strong pungent smell or easy to cause passengers' panic, articles whose nature cannot be identified and may be dangerous, and other articles prohibited from transportation as stipulated by national laws, administrative regulations and rules.
